Description: This notebook continues the detailed ideas and sketches from the first notebook [Ref: 2003.19/2/1] on the development of early works made when Chadwick was a student. In order of appearance they include: notes on 'womb room'; menstrual pieces including her 'Lillet's flick book', 'Lillet box', 'Knitted Lillet blood cycle' and 'Southall's disposal bag'; notes on 'skin folds/creases' relating to the series of latex clothing pieces; notes on the installations of a variety of rooms for her degree show including the 'dressing room' and 'toilet area' and notes on photographs and films relating to these; notes on her 'Fashion show: Bedding Wear' performance (later known as 'Domestic Sanitation'); notes for 'Train of Thought' performance, notes on works made 1973-74; notes and a diagram for 'In the Kitchen' performance; research notes taken from books on fashion, the body, neon signs, John Berger's 'Ways of Seeing'; and notes giving suppliers of latex, fabric and flower dyes.
